About

Irvine Law Group is the law practice of M. Diane Irvine, a worker-side and union-side lawyer based in the Lower Mainland.

Diane was called to the bar in 2012. She works with unions, workers, and organizations that need clear, practical advice on workplace-related legal issues. Her practice includes labour, employment, human rights, workers’ compensation, and professional discipline matters. She is also a member of the Employment Standards Tribunal.

Diane’s approach is practical, thoughtful, and plain-language. She helps clients understand their options, assess risk, and make decisions with greater confidence. Legal issues can be stressful and complex; her goal is to make the path forward clearer.

Before founding Irvine Law Group, Diane worked for two public-sector unions and a leading union-side labour law firm. That experience gives her a strong understanding of both the legal and practical sides of workplace advocacy.

Diane also brings an uncommon background to legal practice. Before law, she studied computer science. That training informs her careful, analytical approach, especially on files involving complex records, technical information, privacy questions, or detailed evidence.
